Nick Berman
Co-FOUNDER
Nick graduated from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Throughout his time in Miami he focused on his passion, sustainable energy. Specifically, he worked with MNP Corporation in Utica, Michigan and initiated a plant recycling program which lead to the company diverting 50 tons of waste from the landfill and saving $15,000 annually. Prior to college, he worked with the Mayor’s office in the City of Sayulita, Mexico to facilitate sustainable initiatives. He not only helped the city install multi-stream recycling centers in high traffic tourist locations, Nick also went out and collected litter and recyclables throughout the beachfront and town square. From an early age protecting the environment has been Nick’s passion and the next step in his journey to further environmental initiatives in the private sector is through sustainability consulting.
Lorenzo Martino
Co-FOUNDER
Lorenzo graduated from the University of Miami in 2018 after attending the European International School Altiero Spinelli State in Torino, Italy. While at University of Miami, Lorenzo worked with the Office of Sustainability and was responsible for initiating a campaign to reduce energy consumption on campus. He also designed and created an educational program for staff on energy conservation and more than 60% of participants reached the reduction targets. He also worked with the office of Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces for Miami Dade County, analyzing and researching tree inventory best practices and lecturing the results at Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces. Lorenzo now aims his focus at the major waste issue that plagues the restaurant industry as a whole.
